Users can Record Cash Payments in QuickBooks without an invoice online by recording them as deposits or sales receipts. Follow the steps outlined below to do so:
Select Sales Receipt under Customers from the New icon.
From the drop-down menu, choose a customer.
For the receipt, choose Product/Service.
For the cash receipt, enter the amount.
Save and close the window.
Users often choose to input cash receipts without associating them with an invoice when they are too little. This revenue can be recorded in QuickBooks by tying it to a deposit or sales receipt.
